2Printer, a utility for batch printing of multiple documents and images, has been updated to version 7.0 with many improvements and features. Let's discover what's new in 2Printer 7.0!
New 2Printer Settings control panel
We've added a convenient control panel – 2Printer Settings. To open and modify the 2Printer Settings, use this command:

New smart file processing core
We've improved the processing core to make it more effective. Now the program automatically selects the most effective (and quick!) way to print a file, depending on the file's type, structure and other parameters.
New HTML files processing engine
With a new commercial Chromium-based engine, we've enhanced the processing and printing of HTML files. This engine is now a part of 2Printer's document processing core.
Updated command line syntax
In this major update, we've changed certain switches and values. To view the entire list of all switches and parameters, launch a command line interpreter, type 2printer.exe and press Enter. For example, -s is now -src (which stands for source), and many parameters are now divided by <Print options> and <Common options>.

New formats supported: iCalendar files, Adobe Indesign files, obsolete Microsoft DOC and Excel XLS
2Printer supports a wide range of file types. In version 7.0, these new types of files were added:
- iCalendar files (*.ics);
- Adobe InDesign files (*.indd, *.indp, *.idap, *.indt, *.indl, *.inx, *.idml, *.qxd, *.qxt, *.indb);
- Obsolete Microsoft DOC and Excel XLS files blocked in Microsoft Office Trust Center by default (*.doc, *.xls).

Ability to copy, move or delete processed files
With the new post-processing feature, you can decide what happens after the documents are successfully (or unsuccessfully) processed. For instance, you can make them get copied, deleted, or moved to another folder.
Ability to set multiple sources for documents
Want to print from two or more folders or lists at the same time? No problem. With 2Printer 7.0, you can now specify any number of paths (after -src) where 2Printer should take files from.
Ability to add page numbers and file names via text watermark
2Printer 7.0 has a new ability to add a watermark that can be customized. You can add an arbitrary text onto each page, a filename in the bottom of a document, or use a macro to add page numbers onto sheets.
Ability to set page alignment and offset
By default, a printed page or image is centered. If you want to change its position, you can configure it via 2Printer Settings. Changing offset and alignment options can make prints off-center.
Ability to log files that were not printed
There's a new feature to keep a list of documents that 2Printer was unable to print for some reason (unsupported file type, printing error, etc.). As a result, a TXT file will be created with a log of all files that failed to print.
Ability to set pages' print order to direct or reverse
If direct order of pages in a document is not a good option for you, now there's a new feature to print them in reverse order.
Improvements
Validation of printer status for each newly printed file
The program now checks whether a printer is available for printing or not at the moment and returns an error if the printer is not available.
Reduced number of data requests to printer per each printed file
To reduce the workload and make communication with a printer more reliable, we optimized 2Printer to make it send fewer data requests to your printer. As a result, the program works faster and more stable, without interfering with your printer's work.
Fixed issue in finding software used for print automation
The program can now detect installed applications that are used for specific file types processing (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and others) faster.
